KORVAS is designed around user control. This policy explains what information is currently collected when you use the KORVAS website, account system and beta services.
1. WHO WE ARE
KORVAS operates the KORVAS website, account system and KORVAS VAULT beta programme.
For privacy-related questions, you can contact us at:
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you register for a KORVAS account, we may collect:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Country
- Your account password in securely hashed form
- Account creation and account status
- Email verification information
3. SECURITY AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION
Your account password is not stored as plain text. The website uses password hashing so that the original password is not stored directly.
Password-reset requests use temporary security tokens rather than sending your existing password to you.
We may record security-related account events, such as registration, email verification, password changes, password-reset requests and successful account activity.
4. IP ADDRESS AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
For security, auditing and troubleshooting, KORVAS may record your IP address and browser user-agent information when certain account activities take place.
This information may be used to help detect suspicious activity, investigate security incidents and maintain the operation of the service.
5. DOWNLOAD INFORMATION
When an authenticated beta tester downloads a KORVAS build, the KORVAS system records download information.
This may include:
- The KORVAS account associated with the download
- The release or build downloaded
- The date and time of the download
- Browser user-agent information
Download records help us understand beta participation and manage software releases.
6. DEVICE INFORMATION
KORVAS has a database structure designed to support future device management and licensing features.
Device registration and activation information may be collected when those features are introduced and enabled.
Features that are not currently active do not mean that the associated information is currently being collected.
7. FEEDBACK
If you contact KORVAS with feedback, bug reports or support requests, we may retain the information you provide so that we can respond and improve the software.
Please do not include your KORVAS master password, encryption keys or other sensitive security information in feedback messages.
8. YOUR KORVAS VAULT DATA
The current KORVAS VAULT beta is designed around local vault storage.
Your locally stored vault data is not uploaded to the KORVAS website simply because you have a KORVAS account.
The current beta does not automatically upload your local password vault to KORVAS servers.
Any future cloud backup or synchronisation service will be subject to its own technical design and applicable terms and privacy information before being introduced.
9. EMAILS
KORVAS may send service-related emails necessary to operate your account.
These may include:
- Email verification messages
- Password-reset messages
- Important account or security messages
- Other essential service communications
Marketing communications will only be sent where appropriate and where the relevant communication preferences and legal requirements allow it.
10. COOKIES AND SESSIONS
The KORVAS website uses session technology to keep users securely signed in and to protect authenticated pages.
These sessions may use a browser cookie containing a session identifier.
The website does not use the session cookie to store your account password or your vault master password.
11. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Information collected through the KORVAS website may be used to:
- Create and manage KORVAS accounts
- Verify email addresses
- Provide account access
- Provide beta software downloads
- Process password resets
- Maintain website and service security
- Investigate technical or security problems

12. WHO WE MAY SHARE INFORMATION WITH
KORVAS does not sell your personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate the website and services, such as hosting, database, email delivery and infrastructure providers.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights or property of KORVAS, users or others.
13. DATA RETENTION
Account and security information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the account, provide services, maintain security records and meet legal or legitimate business requirements.
Temporary security tokens, such as verification and password-reset tokens, are designed to expire and become unusable after their relevant expiration period or after being used.
14. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your circumstances and applicable data-protection law, you may have rights relating to your personal information.
These may include rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, as well as other rights provided by applicable law.

KORVAS takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information held by the website.
However, no internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security against every possible threat.

The latest version will be made available on the KORVAS website.
